Down here at 4 Vidyaranyapura in Abasaheb Raikar Nagar, things stay pretty steady for us. We go by the name Solartherm, though mostly people just know us as the guys who work with the heat systems. The area is mostly residential, so we try not to make too much noise early in the morning. Our building is a simple one, nothing that stands out from the other houses on the block. We have a small yard where we sometimes test out the solar collectors when the sun is out. It’s a practical way to spend the afternoon. Inside, the shelves are loaded with pipes, fittings, and some of the older thermal units we keep for spare parts. We don't have a big fancy showroom. If someone wants to see how things work, we just show them what we’re currently putting together on the floor. It’s a bit dusty, and there’s usually a radio playing some local station in the background. Abasaheb Raikar Nagar is a nice place to work because it feels like a real community. We know the neighbors and they know what we do. We don't use any big words or complicated explanations when we talk to people. We just tell them how the water gets hot and what it costs. Most of the day is just routine maintenance and checking the inventory to see what needs ordering for the next week. It’s a living.
