We have our office in Pukhraj Layout, right on the 1st Cross. This is off Bannerghatta Road, which anyone in Bangalore will tell you is one of the busiest roads in the city. Thankfully, being in the layout tucked away a bit helps us escape the worst of the noise and the dust from the ongoing metro construction. Our place is pretty modest. We focus on solar energy, doing things like water heaters and solar panels for regular homes. It’s a small operation. We have a few guys who handle the mounting and the plumbing, and a couple of us in the office to take care of the calls and the bills. We’ve been here for a while and the neighborhood knows us. It’s not a corporate headquarters with glass walls; it’s more like a converted house that serves as our workspace. There are usually some solar tanks sitting out front near the gate. We talk to our neighbors and the people who live nearby about their energy needs. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything, so we just try to do a decent job so people tell their friends about us. It’s a practical way to run things. Bannerghatta Road is always changing and getting more crowded, but we’ve stayed pretty much the same in our little corner of Pukhraj Layout, just doing our daily tasks and trying to stay productive.
