Software

You can find us at 456/E on the 7th Cross in the 7th Block of Jayan. Santoshkumar C. Hiremath is here and we are staying C/O M. S. Jagadish. This part of the city is quite nice with its old trees and parks nearby. Our Software office is just a small room in this residential building. It is quite cramped with all the wires and spare monitors lying around but it works for us. We spend our days mostly in silence except for the sound of typing. We are not the kind of place that has a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. If you come by you will probably find us in our t-shirts just trying to get through a long list of tasks. We do not really care for the corporate lifestyle or the long meetings that go nowhere. We would rather just sit down and write the code that people are asking for. The neighborhood is quiet so we can concentrate well. Occasionally we go out to the local mess for lunch and talk about things other than computers. It is a small team and we have known each other for years so there is no need for formal rules or complicated structures. We just show up and do what needs to be done every day. It is a practical way to run things and it has worked for us so far without any trouble.
