If you head down Banswadi Road to the Khb Industrial Area, you will find us at 54/3. That is where Softvent Technologies operates from. Being in an industrial area means we are surrounded by all sorts of businesses, from small machine shops to bigger warehouses. We focus on the technology side of things, providing software and support to whoever needs it. The building is a bit grey and the road can be bumpy, but it is a practical place to have an office. We do not have any of those fancy bean bags or ping pong tables you hear about in startup offices. We just have good chairs and plenty of desk space. The team is small enough that we all know what everyone else is working on. We tend to keep our heads down and just get through the pile of work. It is not always exciting, but it is honest work that pays the bills. We have been at 54/3 for a while, and we have gotten to know the security guards and the other folks on our block. There is a sense of community here in the industrial area that you do not get in the big glass towers downtown. We just do our thing, keep the software running, and head home to our families at the end of the day. It’s a simple setup but it works.
