About Smriti Kamalia – Fashion & Trends in Bengaluru
Down here on S.N. Roy Road, things move at a bit of a slower pace compared to the main parts of the city. My place is at 191/5, and it’s a bit tucked away, which I actually prefer. Smriti Kamalia is more of a personal venture than a big corporate entity. The office is really just a room filled with the things I need to get my work done. I have a sturdy desk, a few chairs for when people drop by, and stacks of paper that I really should organize better. The light comes in nicely through the window in the morning, hitting the wall where I’ve pinned up some notes and sketches. I don't have a staff of twenty people or a big sign outside. It’s just a quiet spot where I can focus. Sometimes the neighborhood kids are playing outside and the noise drifts in, or you can hear the vendor calling out his goods as he passes by on the street. I don't have a mission statement or a fancy slogan to tell people. I just do the work that comes my way and try to do it right. People usually find me through word of mouth or because they live nearby in the neighborhood. It’s a simple way to run things, and it keeps the stress down. I usually make my own tea in the little pantry in the corner and stay here until the evening shadows grow long.
