Our business, Slv Apparels, is located in the Shymna Reddy Industrial Area in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Specifically, we are in the Keshwani Building, which is near Maruti Timbers and the G B Palya Hosur Main Road. Being in an industrial area means things are always moving. There are trucks coming and going, and the sound of machinery is everywhere. Our space in the Keshwani Building is where we do all our apparel work. It’s a large, open area but it’s packed with tables and sewing equipment. It’s not a place for visitors to come and sit; it’s a place where we get our hands dirty. The commute along Hosur Main Road can be a nightmare with the traffic, so we often start early to beat the rush. We deal with a lot of different fabrics every day, and by the end of the week, the floor is covered in lint and bits of string. We don't have a big corporate structure or fancy titles. We just have people who know how to sew and people who know how to move boxes. Sometimes things get disorganized when a big shipment arrives, and we have to spend the whole morning just finding where everything went. It’s a bit chaotic, but it’s our chaos. We’ve been here in G B Palya for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the industrial park. We just focus on getting the clothes made and sent out to whoever needs them next.
