We are over at A-1 Wilson Garden in the Bose Compound. Skyline Advertising has been around this neighborhood for quite some time now. If you walk into the compound, you’ll see our shop floor covered in vinyl scraps and big rolls of printing material. We do a bit of everything here—signs, banners, and whatever else people need for their shops. The smell of ink is pretty strong most days, but you get used to it after a while. We have a few big machines that take up most of the space, so it can feel a bit cramped when we have a large order to finish. We aren't some fancy agency with people in suits. We’re mostly in t-shirts and jeans, getting our hands dirty with glue and cutters. The traffic in Wilson Garden is always a nightmare, so getting deliveries out can be a real struggle in the afternoons. Sometimes the printers act up right when we have a deadline, which means someone has to stay late to fix it. We just take the jobs as they come. People from around the area drop in with their ideas sketched on scraps of paper, and we try to turn them into something that looks decent on a board. It’s practical work. We don’t make it more complicated than it needs to be. We just print what people ask for and try to get it out the door.
