Sky Computers

If you know the Ulsoor area, you probably know the bus stop near the number 1 spot where Sky Computers is located. It is a busy corner, and you can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. The shop itself is small, and there are always computer parts, keyboards, and monitors tucked into the corners or sitting on the counters. We spend most of the day with our heads down, looking at motherboards or trying to figure out why someone’s laptop won't turn on anymore. It gets a bit dusty with all the fans running, and there is usually a stack of old towers waiting to be picked up near the door. People from the neighborhood drop in while they are waiting for their bus, asking about a spare cable or a quick fix for their screen. It is not one of those shiny showrooms you see in the big malls; it is more of a working shop where we actually get our hands dirty with the hardware. The light inside is a bit bright, and sometimes we lose track of time when a difficult repair comes in. Being right here in Ulsoor means we see a lot of familiar faces from the local shops around us. We just keep things moving, one computer at a time, until it is time to close up and head home ourselves. It is a lot of troubleshooting and small parts, but it is what we do every day.
