Site Engineer

We are Site Engineer, based right here in Bangalore. We don't really have one fixed spot where we sit all day because the nature of the job keeps us moving from one side of the city to the other. One day we might be near Whitefield and the next we’re over in Electronic City. Bangalore is always growing, so there’s never a shortage of sites to visit. We are the people you see with the tripods and the bright vests, trying to make sense of a patch of dirt before the concrete gets poured. Our office is often just the front seat of a car or a makeshift table on a construction site. We handle the technical side of things like checking the measurements, making sure the foundations are right, and keeping an eye on the structural details. It’s a lot of walking around in the sun and dealing with the noise of the city. We don’t have a polished corporate image or a big office in a tech park. We’re just a group of guys who know how to read a plan and use a level. We talk to the masons and the contractors in plain language so everyone knows what needs to happen. It can be exhausting with the traffic and the deadlines, but seeing a building go up correctly is a good feeling. We just do our bit to make sure things are done right. No big speeches or promises, just hard work and site visits. We spend our evenings looking at site photos and typing up what we found. It’s a simple routine, but it works for us.
