Siltex Exports

If you head to the fourth floor of the Jayanthi Building, you'll find us in room 401. It’s right on Avenue Road, which is always packed with people and shops. Siltex Exports is a small operation. We have a few rooms where we keep our samples and do all the sorting. The elevator in this building is quite old and slow, so we often tell people to be patient. We have been at this address for quite a while. Most of our day is spent checking quality and making sure the packing is right. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits our windows directly. The fans stay on all day. It’s not a fancy corporate office with carpets and glass walls. We have basic furniture and a lot of boxes everywhere. It feels like a real place where work gets done. The staff at Siltex Exports are all local folks who live nearby. We know each other well and it makes the day go faster. Avenue Road is great because you can find anything you need just by walking out the front door. We are just a small part of the mess and bustle of this street. Trying to stay organized is a challenge but sometimes the work just piles up. We just take it one day at a time here.
