Siemens Information Systems Limited has its spot over in E-City, Banglore. Everyone knows how Electronic City is—full of big buildings and lots of tech people everywhere. Our place is just one of those offices where we sit and work on various system projects all day long. The commute can be a real pain if you are coming from the other side of town, so most of us try to leave early to beat the worst of the traffic. Inside, it is just rows of desks and people on their computers. It is not exactly exciting, but the work is steady and keeps us busy. We have a small break area where we drink way too much coffee just to stay awake through the afternoon slump. The air conditioning is always a bit too cold, but nobody wants to be the one to turn it down. We don't really do the whole corporate jargon thing among ourselves; we just talk about what needs to get finished by Friday. E-City has changed a lot over the years with more shops and places to eat popping up, so at least lunch options are better now than they used to be. We spend most of our time looking at screens and trying to figure out why a piece of software isn't doing what it is supposed to. It is just a normal office life in a very busy part of Bangalore. We keep our heads down and do what is required.
