Our office for Siemens Information Processing Service Pvt Ltd is at 497 H M T Layout. It is situated on C B I Road in the R T Nagar area of Bangalore- 61. It is a fairly established part of the city with lots of trees and older buildings. The work we do here is mostly about processing data and handling information on computers. It is not a very exciting thing to look at. You just see rows of people sitting at their monitors for most of the day. The building is functional. It has a lift that sometimes gets stuck and a small area where we keep our lunch boxes. We have a lot of people working different shifts since the work never really stops. The commute to R T Nagar is usually the hardest part of the day because the traffic on C B I Road can be quite bad in the evenings. We don't have any fancy break rooms with ping pong tables or anything like that. We just have a small space to sit and have tea. Most of us have been working here for a while and we have our own little routines. We don't talk much about corporate strategy. We just focus on the numbers on the screen and making sure the processing is done correctly before we go home. It is a plain workplace where we just do our jobs and try to be accurate.
