Siddoji

Siddoji is located at 151 2 D.V.G. Road in the Basavanagudi area of Bangalore. If you have ever been to this part of the city, you know how lively it is. D.V.G. Road is always packed with people buying flowers, clothes, and snacks. We are right in the thick of it. Our shop is in an older building that has a lot of character. We have high shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and we use old wooden ladders to get things down. It is a very traditional atmosphere, and we like it that way. We don't have fancy air conditioning or bright neon signs. We just open the doors and let the city air in. Most of our customers are locals who have been living in Basavanagudi for decades. We know their faces and often chat about the weather or the local news while they shop. The staff here is like a small family. We share our meals in the back room and take turns minding the counter. During festival seasons, the street outside becomes even more crowded, and we stay open much later than usual. It can be exhausting, but it is also a lot of fun to be part of the buzz. We don't have a corporate strategy or anything like that. We just try to be helpful and keep the shop stocked with what people need. It is a good way to live and work in Bangalore.
