Siddiqui

This is Siddiqui's place on Rogers Road. We are right across from the Jack & Jill School, so we hear the kids playing during their breaks. St Thomas Town is a busy little pocket, and we have been part of it for a good number of years. It’s a simple building at number 10. Most of our day is spent dealing with whoever walks in off the street. We don’t have a big corporate office or a lobby with coffee machines. It is just a workspace where we get things done. Some mornings are slow and I sit with a tea, and other times people are lined up before we even open the shutters. The neighborhood has changed a lot, new shops coming and going, but we stayed put. My staff and I just focus on the task at hand. We know most of the people who live around 560084. It feels like a small village sometimes despite being in the middle of the city. We keep our overhead low so we can just focus on the work. It isn't a fancy operation. There's a bit of dust from the road sometimes, but that is just life here. We open up, see the regulars, and try to be useful. It is a humble spot, nothing special to look at, but we are here every day. We keep the kettle on and the door open for whoever needs our time.
