We run Siddhalakshmi Travel Links out of Bangalore. Our address is C/O Narayanappa, which is where we manage all our travel stuff. Being in Karnataka, we see a lot of people wanting to travel around the state or head out further. Bangalore is always crowded, and the traffic is as bad as everyone says, so we do a lot of our work over the phone or through messages. We’ve been doing this for a while, helping people figure out how to get from one city to another without spending too much money. It’s a small operation. We don't have a big fancy office in a glass tower. It’s more of a local feel here. We know the routes and the bus operators pretty well by now. If someone asks for a recommendation, we just tell them what we know from our own experience. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure people get their tickets and show up at the right time. Sometimes the systems go down, and we have to do things the old-fashioned way with a pen and paper. It can be stressful when things are busy, but we manage. We aren't trying to compete with the huge online sites. We just offer a personal touch for the folks in our area of Bangalore. It’s just us doing what we can to make travel a bit easier for everyone who stops by.
