Shyamala Systems is over in Jayanagar, specifically at No. 3 on 9th Main Road in the 5th Block. It’s a nice area to work in because of all the trees and the residential feel of the neighborhood. Our office is a small building that fits right in with the others on the street. We don’t have a flashy entrance or anything. You just walk in and you’ll see us at our desks. There’s usually a bit of a mess with papers and hardware parts lying around because we’re always in the middle of something. We’ve been in Jayanagar for a while now and we like the pace here. It’s not as chaotic as the center of the city. We spend our mornings catching up on emails and our afternoons working on various system projects. Lunch breaks often involve a walk down the road to one of the local eateries. It’s a pretty tight-knit group of people working here. We know each other’s families and what everyone likes to eat. We don’t have any big slogans or corporate goals plastered on the walls. We just want to do a decent job and finish our work on time. The building gets a bit warm in the summer, but we have enough fans going to keep us comfortable. It’s just a regular local business doing its thing in a quiet corner of 5th Block.
