Chickpet is one of those places that never really sleeps, and being at Ramanna Complex keeps us right in the middle of it all. We are at number 4, just across the way from the Upparpet Police Station. If you find yourself at Sai Chowk, you are pretty much there. It is a busy spot, lots of people moving around, and the noise from the street is something we just got used to over the years. We deal in all sorts of novelties. You know, the kind of small things people need but don't always know where to look for. Our shelves are pretty packed. It isn't a showroom with glass cases and air conditioning. It is more of a practical space where we keep our stock and try to help customers find what they are after. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially when the big deliveries arrive and we have to stack boxes wherever they fit. The building is old, but it has a lot of character. We have neighbors who have been here as long as we have. It feels like a small community inside the complex. We open up early and stay until the crowd thins out in the evening. There is no big marketing team here, just us doing the work and making sure things run as they should. It is a simple way of doing business, but it works for us and the people who come to see us.
