Shushruth Clinic

Shushruth Clinic has been at 1287 Rajaji Nagar for quite some time now. The building is easy to find if you know the 560055 area well enough. We start our day early, usually before the sun gets too hot and the street gets packed with scooters and cars. The front door has a bit of a creak that we never really got around to fixing properly. Inside, the walls are painted a plain off-white color that looks a bit different depending on the time of day. There are a few rows of plastic chairs where people sit and wait their turn. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the small waiting area, especially on Monday mornings when everyone seems to show up at once. We have a small desk for paperwork and a couple of cabinets filled with files that have been tucked away over the years. The light from the window hits the floor in a certain way in the afternoons. It’s a busy spot but we try to keep things moving as much as we can. We see a lot of the same faces from around the neighborhood coming in and out. Most of the people living nearby just walk over since parking is always a bit of a headache on this stretch of Rajaji Nagar. It’s just a simple place where we do our work every day without much fuss. We keep the fans running to deal with the heat.
