Shubham Selections

Our address is 22/39-3 in Mahalaxmi Puram, right near the temple. If you know the Karimaramaa Temple in Manjari, we are just a short walk from there. Shubham Selections is a clothing store, but it doesn't look like those big showrooms you see in the malls. We have piles of cloth and readymade garments everywhere. It takes a lot of work to keep everything folded properly, especially after a busy Saturday. The shop has a high ceiling which helps keep it cool, but we still have a few old fans running all day long. My family has been running this for a while. We don't have a computer to track the stock; we just remember what we have on the shelves. Sometimes we find a piece of fabric we forgot we had. Customers like to come here because they can take their time and look through everything without anyone bothering them. The temple bells are a nice sound to hear during the day. It’s a quiet neighborhood mostly, except for when there is a festival. We don't have any big sales or promotions. People come because they know the stuff is okay and the prices are fair. It’s just a regular shop where we try to make a living and talk to our neighbors. The address is a bit tucked away, but people find us eventually. We stay open until the sun goes down and then we head back home.
