Shrinagar Novelties

Our shop is at 32 Unapani Road, which is just off the Cubbonpet Main Road. It is a narrow street, like most of the ones in this old part of town, so you have to keep your eyes open or you will walk right past it. We carry a whole range of novelties and small goods that people use every day. It is a family-run place, and we have been here long enough that most of the neighbors are more like friends than customers. The shop is not very big, so we have to be very clever about how we stack the boxes and containers. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we are busy during the festival seasons, but we usually know where everything is hidden. Cubbonpet is a great area because there is always something happening outside the door. You see all kinds of people walking past every day. We do not have a big team of employees, just a couple of us who know the stock well enough to find things quickly. We keep the shop open six days a week, and Sunday is our only day to rest and stay home. It is a simple life, honestly. We do not go in for big advertisements or flashy neon signs. The old board outside is a bit faded from the sun, but people know who we are. Most of our visitors are people who live nearby or work in the many textile shops around here. If you are looking for those small items that make life a little easier, you can usually find them on our shelves.
