Shri Mahalakshmi Tours & Travels

This is our travel setup in Rajajinagar, specifically at 652/J. We’ve been here for a bit now. It’s near Nana Varachha. We have a couple of cars and we help people get from one place to another. It isn't a huge operation. We mostly just talk on the phone and arrange bookings. The office is just a room with a desk and some maps on the wall. They are old maps, but they still work. Rajajinagar is a busy place, plenty of people looking for rides to the station or the airport. We try to keep the cars clean, though the dust always finds a way in. My cousin helps me with the driving sometimes when things get busy. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the next call. It’s a simple life. Sometimes the traffic is so bad it takes an hour to go two kilometers. We tell the customers to be patient, but everyone is in a hurry these days. We don't have a website or anything fancy like that. Just word of mouth and our phone number. People trust us because we’ve been around the block. We know the shortcuts that aren't on the GPS. That's our little secret. If you need to go somewhere, we figure out a way. Working in the travel business means you are always on call. Even when I’m at home, the phone might ring at midnight with someone needing a car. That’s just part of the deal.
