I’ve been working as an advocate at 357/C in Vijaya Nagar for a while now. Most days I am just here at the desk going through papers or meeting people who come in with their legal troubles. It is a busy area and the office is easy enough to find once you get into the 357/C block. I don’t really have a big staff or anything, just me and some files. Some days are long, especially when there is a lot of court work or paperwork to finish up before the day ends. Vijaya Nagar is a good spot because there is always something happening outside the window. People come and go, and I just try to keep things organized here. I started Shilpa R Nayak Adv because I wanted to work for myself and help out people in the neighborhood. The office isn’t anything fancy, just a practical space where we can sit down and talk about what needs to be done. I usually get in early and stay until the work is finished. Sometimes the traffic on the main roads nearby makes it a bit of a trek to get here, but once I am inside, it is quiet enough to focus. I deal with all sorts of things, mostly local matters that people bring to my door. It is just regular work, nothing too complicated to explain. I like being here in this part of town. It feels like home after all these years of coming to the same building.
