Shevgoor And Kamath Law Associates is situated on the 2nd floor of HVS Court, which is at 201 21 Vasanth Nagar on Cunningham Road. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always a lot of noise from the street. Our office is what you might expect from a local law practice. There are shelves full of thick legal books and cabinets overflowing with case files. It’s just two of us here along with a few staff members who help with all the typing and filing. We spend a lot of our time going through legal documents and preparing for court dates. It’s not like the movies; it’s mostly just a lot of reading and writing. We handle various types of cases for the people in the area. Some days are spent entirely at the courthouse, and other days we are stuck here at our desks until late in the evening. The building is a bit older, and the parking can be a real struggle for anyone coming to visit. We try to be direct and honest with the people who come to us for legal help because the law is complicated enough as it is. We don't have a big marketing budget or fancy brochures. Most of our work comes through word of mouth from people we’ve helped in the past. It’s just a regular law office doing its best every day.
