Shekar Watch Co

We’ve been here at Shekar Watch Co for a long time now. The shop is tucked away on the first floor of the Pu Building, right on M G Road. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets downstairs with all the traffic and people moving around. We are at No. 2, so you just have to walk up those stairs to find us. It’s a small space, nothing fancy, but it works for what we do. Mostly, it’s just us surrounded by clocks and watch parts every day. Some days are quieter than others, especially when the weather is bad and people don't want to climb up to the first floor. We spend a lot of time sitting at the bench looking through those magnifying glasses. It’s a lot of tiny screws and keeping hands steady. M G Road has changed quite a bit since we started, with new shops coming and going, but the Pu Building stays pretty much the same. We like it here because we can see the street from the window. We don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us who know how to handle the work. Sometimes customers stay and chat for a while about their old watches while we take a look at them. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood where people bring things that need a bit of attention.
