Sheen P Kurian

I’m staying and working out of house number 8, c/o Narayana Swami, in Kariyammana Agrahara. It’s near the Belandur Post in the Marathahalli area of Bangalore. My name is Sheen P Kurian. This part of the city has changed so much lately with all the big buildings going up, but our little corner still feels a bit old-school. I share the space and it’s a very basic setup. I don’t have a corporate office with a view. Instead, I have a view of the local street and the neighbors going about their laundry. It’s a practical arrangement that works for my budget and my needs. I spend my days handling various tasks, mostly on my own. Sometimes the water is a bit of a problem in this area, but that’s just part of living in Bangalore 37. I didn’t want to be in one of those fancy glass towers because it’s not my style. I prefer being where I can hear the birds and the occasional street vendor. It’s a modest way to run things, and I like the honesty of it. I don’t make big promises, I just do the work that comes my way. Most of the people I interact with are locals or people who have heard of me through Narayana Swami. It’s a small, steady life here. The traffic towards Marathahalli can be a nightmare in the evenings, so I mostly stay put once the sun starts going down. It is easier that way.
