Sharada Fancy & Gift Centre

We are located near the Kadamba Hotel in Rajajinagar, at number 719. Most people in the neighborhood know the spot because it’s a busy corner where everyone hangs out. The shop is full of small things like bangles, hair clips, and various gift items that we keep in glass cases. It’s the kind of place where kids come after school to look at stickers or colored pens. We try to keep things in order, but with so many small items, it’s a struggle every single day. The shelves are quite high and reach almost to the ceiling, so we have to use a ladder sometimes. We spend a lot of time dusting and rearranging the displays when there are no customers. Rajajinagar has changed a lot over the years, but our little shop stays pretty much the same. People come in to buy stuff for school projects or last-minute birthday gifts for their friends. We have a small counter where we wrap things up in plain paper. It’s not a big fancy showroom, just a local shop where we know many of the faces who walk through the door. Sometimes it’s very quiet, and other times three families walk in at once and it gets crowded and hot. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front pavement, and wait for the day to start. It’s regular work, and we like being part of the street life here near the hotel.
