Shambhavi Agro Farm

We are located at 93-6-87 in Vinayak Nagar, out in the Anchepalya area. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but for us, it’s just home. Running a farm business like Shambhavi isn’t a nine-to-five kind of deal. The dirt stays under your fingernails no matter how much you scrub. We deal with the land and the crops, and whatever the sky decides to give us that day. Some years are better than others, that’s just the way it goes. In Vinayak Nagar, we’re surrounded by people who understand the struggle of a bad harvest or the joy of a good rain. Our office, if you can call it that, is mostly used for storing records and old boots. It’s not a place for shiny shoes. We spend more time outside than inside anyway. Anchepalya has changed over the years, but the work we do stays pretty much the same. It’s about the soil and the timing. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We grow things, we look after the animals, and we try to make sure everything stays healthy. There’s always a fence that needs fixing or a tractor that’s acting up. It keeps us on our toes. People stop by to chat about the local news or to see how the season is looking. It’s a communal kind of life, rooted in the ground.
