Shaha Traders

Shaha Traders is situated in Cooke Town, right in the Harappanahalli Village area at number 197/1. It’s a straightforward trading business where we spend most of our time dealing with stock and inventory. The building at 197/1 is an old one, but it has plenty of space for the goods we move in and out. Most mornings I am busy checking the manifest and making sure everything arrived in one piece. Cooke Town is a nice enough area, though it gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up across the village roads. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and carpets. It’s mostly just concrete floors and heavy wooden shelves. I spend a lot of time on the phone or writing things down in the ledger. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when the big shipments come in and everything needs to be moved by hand. Sometimes the neighbors stop in to ask about prices or just to see how things are going. We’ve been here for quite a while, so we know the local rhythm of the place. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stand, but people find us easily enough once they get to Harappanahalli Village. There is always something to be swept or organized, so the days go by pretty fast. We don't use any complicated systems, just hard work and keeping track of what we have.
