Sensing Local Foundation

We are based in Austin Town, at a place called Iqbal Arcade on Palmgrove Road. It’s a part of Bangalore that has a lot of character and history. Sensing Local Foundation is a bit of a different setup compared to the big tech firms in the city. We are in a small building, number 11/1, and it’s a pretty modest space. The office is usually filled with maps, drawings, and a lot of notes pinned to the walls. We spend a lot of time thinking about the local environment and how things work on the ground level. It’s not a corporate vibe at all. We often have people coming in and out, and the kettle is almost always on. The neighborhood is busy, with plenty of small shops and houses all packed together. We like being here because it feels like we are part of the actual city, not tucked away in some sterile tech park. Our work is mostly about observing and recording what’s happening around us. There’s no big hierarchy here; we all just pitch in and do what needs to be done. Sometimes we are out in the streets and other times we are huddled around the table in the office. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day, and we wouldn't have it any other way because this place feels like home to us.
