Satya Narayanan

Satya Narayanan here. I work out of Room No 24/2 in Devasandra, which is tucked away in the Kr Puram area of Bangalore. It’s a busy part of town, and sometimes the traffic on the main road makes getting here a chore, but it’s where I’ve set myself up. The space isn’t huge, just a standard room where I handle my daily tasks. There is a small window that looks out towards the street, and I spend a lot of my time watching the motorbikes zip past while I’m on the phone. It’s not a corporate office with fancy glass walls or anything like that. I have a desk that’s been with me for years and a couple of chairs for whoever stops by. Most of my day is spent dealing with the usual stuff that comes with running a small operation. Bangalore weather is usually okay, but when it rains, the sound on the roof is quite loud. I don't follow a strict corporate schedule. I come in, have some tea from the stall at the corner, and start going through what needs to be done for the day. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with papers here and there, but I know where everything is. Living and working in Kr Puram has its own rhythm. You get used to the noise and the energy of the people moving around. I’ve lived in this city for a long time, and Devasandra feels like a good place to be based. It’s practical and close to everything I need for my work.
