Satpuda Mushroom Utpadak Sahkarita By Samuha is located on the first floor of a building at 7/12 on 9th Cross, 3rd Main in Chamrajpet. Chamrajpet is one of those older parts of town where the streets are narrow and everything feels a bit more lived-in. To get to us, you have to climb a narrow set of stairs that can be a bit steep if you are carrying anything heavy. The office is not very big, and we have a lot of paperwork and files stacked up on the desks. It is a cooperative setup, so there are always different people coming in and out to discuss things or check on progress. The windows look out over the street, and you can see the daily life of the neighborhood unfolding below. It is often quite noisy with the sounds of scooters and vendors selling vegetables. We have a small table where we keep the water pot and a few glasses for visitors. The walls are decorated with some old calendars and a few notices pinned up for the members. It feels more like a community space than a corporate office. We spend a lot of time talking and coordinating with different groups. It is a busy place but in a very human, disorganized way that somehow still works out in the end.
