If you go to Continental Plaza on Mount Road, you’ll find us on the second floor of Block-E. It’s a busy building, right in the heart of things in Chennai. Sathyadev International operates out of this office, and it’s usually piled high with papers and samples from different places. We aren’t trying to be the most modern office in the city. The air conditioning works most of the time, and there’s always someone making tea in the back. Our work involves a lot of back-and-forth communication. We deal with people from all over, hence the international bit in our name. It’s mostly emails and phone calls at odd hours because of the time differences. Sometimes the elevator in the plaza is slow, so we just take the stairs. It keeps us moving during the day. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, you just walk in and find one of us at a desk. We’ve been in this spot for quite some time, and we know the neighbors well. It’s a lot of logistics and checking documents to make sure everything is in order. We don’t do big presentations. We just get the paperwork done and make sure the items get where they need to go. It’s a quiet kind of work, but it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. Just a small team doing what needs to be done on a daily basis.
