Sas Engineering Group

Sas Engineering Group is over at B-15 in the Peenya Industrial Area. We are on 2nd Cross, 3rd Stage. A lot of people find us by looking for the Butter Hotel, since we are right behind it. Peenya is a massive place and it’s very easy to get lost if you don’t know the landmarks. Our workshop is usually humming with the sound of lathes and other machinery. We do engineering work, which basically means we spend our time measuring things and making sure they fit together. It’s not the cleanest job in the world. You’ll find bits of metal shavings on the floor and the smell of coolant in the air. We have a small group of guys who know their way around a technical drawing. Most of us have been working in this area for a decade or more. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, you just walk in and find someone in overalls to talk to. We eat our lunch together and talk about whatever is happening in the news. It’s a very normal, local setup. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just focus on the machines and the orders that come in every week. If the work is done right, the customers come back, and that’s pretty much how we’ve stayed in business all this time. The traffic around the hotel can be a bit much, but once you get inside, it's just work.
