Saraswathi Fancy Store

Our shop, Saraswathi Fancy Store, sits right across from Janardhana Hospital at number 36. Being in Gulshan Nagar, specifically the Shere Punjab part of Nagarbhavi, means we get a lot of people coming by who are visiting the hospital or just living nearby. It’s a handy location, even if parking can be a real headache sometimes during the peak hours. We’ve got a lot of different things crammed into the space we have. It’s not the biggest shop, so we have to use every bit of wall and floor space available. Some days are slow and we just sit and wait for the next person to walk in, while other days are a bit of a scramble. We mostly handle small items that people need in a hurry. The area around Nagarbhavi has changed quite a bit over the years, but we’ve stayed right here in the same spot. We don't use any fancy systems, just a notebook and some patience. Sometimes the power goes out and we just keep the doors open for the light. It’s a very straightforward way of running things. People know us as the place opposite Janardhana Hospital, which makes it easy to give directions. We try to keep the stock fresh, but it's a lot to manage on our own. It’s just a local business doing what we can every day.
