Our business is set up in the Bommasandra Industrial Area, specifically 1st Stage, Phase II. We are on 5th Main in Manjunath Nagar, which is West of Chord Road. It’s a large area and we have a lot of heavy equipment parked around. You can usually see the yellow machines from the road. We deal with earth moving and site work. It’s a muddy business, especially when it rains. The office is basically a converted shipping container with a desk and some chairs. We spend most of our time outside on the machines anyway. It’s loud and dusty work. We have a few mechanics who stay busy keeping the engines running. Sometimes a hose bursts or a tire goes flat in the middle of a job. We just fix it and keep going. The sun gets really hot out here in the yard. We have a small shed for shade where we keep the water cooler. Most of our clients are builders from around the city who need things dug or moved. We’ve been in Bommasandra for a while and know the area well. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like being outdoors. There’s always something to move or a hole to dig. We don't worry about looking professional; we just worry about getting the dirt moved properly. It's hard on the back, but it's a good living for us.
