I’ve been doing Saju Photography here in Bangalore for quite some time now. This city is huge and I end up traveling all over the place for different jobs. One day I might be in Indiranagar and the next day I’m stuck in traffic trying to get to a shoot in Electronic City. I don’t have a massive studio with lots of staff. It’s mostly just me and my gear. My bag is always packed with cameras, lenses, and extra batteries because you never know when you’ll need them. I spend a lot of my time sitting at my desk editing photos until my eyes get tired. It’s a lot of work that people don’t see, just clicking away on the computer to get the colors right. I take photos of all sorts of things, from small family gatherings to local events. Bangalore has so many different backdrops, from the old parks to the new buildings, so there’s always something to look at. I try to keep things relaxed when I’m working because people get nervous in front of a lens. It’s not about being perfect; it’s just about catching what’s happening at that moment. My office is usually a bit cluttered with memory cards and cables scattered around. I don’t follow a strict corporate schedule. I just take the work as it comes and try to do a decent job for everyone who calls.
