You can find us over in Peenya, specifically at 90, 11th Cross in the Doddanna Industrial Estate, 2nd Stage. It’s a loud area, but we’re used to the noise by now. We do engineering work, mostly involving metal and parts for various machines. The shop floor is where we spend almost all our time. There’s always the smell of oil and the sound of grinding going on. We have a few lathes and some other equipment that keeps us busy throughout the week. It’s a gritty job and we often go home with grease under our fingernails. That’s just the nature of working in the industrial area. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We take the blueprints or the parts people bring us and we get to work. Sometimes the material is late or a machine breaks down, and we have to spend the whole day fixing it instead of producing anything. Those days are frustrating, but we manage. People come to us because they know we are right here in the estate and we’ve been doing this for years. We don’t use much technology for the sake of it, just the tools that get the job done properly. It’s a straightforward operation. We show up, do the machining, and close up the shutters in the evening. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We have a small kettle in the corner for tea when we need a break from the noise of the machines.
