Our office is situated in Purva Heights, Flat A / 907, which is in Bangalore, Pincode 560076. It’s a high-rise building, so we are way up there on the ninth floor. Being a Saint Gobain Gypsum India Ltd office, we spend our time managing the supply of gypsum boards across Karnataka. The view from the 907 window is actually pretty good; you can see a lot of the city traffic from up here. The office itself is basically a converted apartment space, so it feels a bit more like a home than a sterile workplace. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee, and the main living area is where we’ve put all the desks and the printer. It’s usually a bit of a scramble in the mornings to get all the delivery schedules sorted out. Bangalore traffic is always a topic of conversation here because it affects when our materials actually reach the construction sites. We don't have any marketing brochures lying around, just a lot of technical manuals and shipping documents. It’s a pretty straightforward operation. We just sit here, answer the phones, and make sure the gypsum gets loaded onto the right trucks at the warehouse. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is busy, but once you’re inside, it’s a calm place to work compared to the street level noise. The elevator takes forever during the lunch hour, so we usually just stay put and wait for the crowd.
