M/s. Sushma Farm

M/s. Sushma Farm is run out of Fortuna Classic Apartment in the Canara Bank Layout. It might seem a bit strange to have a farm business registered at a flat in Sahakaranagara, but that is how we manage things. We handle the administrative side of our farming activities from here. The actual fields are elsewhere, but this is where the planning and the phone calls happen. Sahakaranagara is a quiet neighborhood and being in the B Block gives us a steady place to keep our records and talk to people. We don't have a storefront with produce on display or anything like that. It’s more of an office setup for the farm’s logistics. We deal with various crops and supply schedules throughout the year. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic with all the coordination required between the labor on the land and the buyers in the city. We’ve been using this apartment as our base for a while now because it’s convenient for us. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a family-run farm business trying to stay organized. We spend a lot of time on the computer or the phone, making sure the seeds are bought on time and the harvests are moving to the right markets. It’s a lot of back-and-forth, but having a fixed spot in the city helps us stay on top of the paperwork side of farming. We just take it day by day and try to keep everything running smoothly without too much fuss.
