S M Solar Systems

We have been operating out of Lakshmi Complex for quite a while now. It’s at No-199/1, right there on the road opposite the main stretch in Uttarahalli. People usually find us easily enough because we are near the Subramanyapura Post office, which is a big landmark for the area. The office itself isn’t anything too fancy to look at. It is basically a few rooms filled with boxes of solar components and a couple of desks that are usually covered in blueprints and half-drunk cups of tea. We don’t have a big team of sales people in suits. Instead, it is mostly just us and the technicians who are usually out in the sun installing panels on rooftops. The traffic outside can get pretty loud during the day, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. Sometimes when it’s raining hard, the roof makes a bit of a racket, and we just have to wait it out. We spend a lot of our time explaining to neighbors how the government subsidies work or helping them figure out why their old batteries aren't holding a charge anymore. It is practical work, and we like it that way. We don't use big words or make grand promises. We just want to make sure that when someone pays for a solar water heater or a light system, it actually works when the sun goes down. It’s a simple business, run by people who live right here in the community.
