Electronic City is a big place but you can find S M D Technology (India) Pvt Ltd at building 105. We are right in the middle of all the tech action which can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. Inside our space it is mostly the sound of fans and the clicking of keyboards. We focus on the smaller details of technology here, hence the SMD in our name. It takes a lot of patience to work with components that you can barely see without a magnifying glass. The staff here are mostly local people who have been with us for a couple of years. We don't have those fancy bean bags or game rooms you see in the big corporate offices nearby. We just have desks and good lighting. Lunch breaks are usually spent at the small stalls nearby or just bringing a tiffin from home. The traffic getting into Electronic City is the worst part of the day but once we are inside we just get to work. There is always a deadline looming or a new design that needs testing. We’ve had our fair share of mistakes over the years but that is how you learn in this industry. It is a steady kind of life and we like the rhythm of it. We just try to do the job right the first time so we don't have to redo it later for the client.
