S L V Computers is located at 950 Deepanjali Nagar Main Road. We are pretty close to the Amma Ashrama High School, so you hear the school bell rings throughout the day. The shop is filled with parts. We have motherboards, old monitors, and tangles of cables everywhere. It’s not the neatest place, but we know where everything is. People bring in laptops that won't turn on or computers that are making strange noises. We spend a lot of time with screwdrivers and cans of compressed air. It's a lot of troubleshooting. Sometimes it's a quick fix, other times we have to leave a machine running overnight to see what's wrong. Deepanjali Nagar is a busy area, and we get all sorts of people walking in. Some just want a new mouse, others have a major data problem. We don’t use a lot of technical jargon with folks. We just tell them what’s broken and how much the part costs. It’s a small shop. Most of the time, the radio is playing in the background while we work. We've got a couple of benches where we do the repairs. It’s a bit cramped when we have five or six towers open at once. But we manage. We aren't a big chain store. It's just us here, trying to get people's tech working again so they can get back to their lives.
