We are located in the J.C. Industrial Estate, which is just off Kanakapura Main Road. Our unit is number 4 on the 9th Main. Being in an industrial estate means it is never really quiet during the day. There is always the sound of machines running, trucks loading things up, or people shouting across the way to one another. It’s a very practical, hardworking environment. Our space is mostly taken up by equipment and various workbenches. We have a small corner with a couple of desks for the computer work and billing, but the main area is where the real activity happens. The floor is concrete and has some stains from oils or materials we use. It’s not meant to be pretty; it's a place for work. The dust from the road and the nearby units can be a bit much, so we are always wiping down our screens and tools to keep them clean. We have a small pantry area where we keep the kettle for tea. On Kanakapura Road, the traffic is usually heavy, so getting here in the morning can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. But once we are inside and the shutters are up, we just get on with the day's tasks. It’s a basic, functional setup that works for us. We know most of our neighbors in the estate, and there’s a sense of everyone just doing their own thing to get by.
