Our office is in Basaveshwara Nagar, 4th Stage, at Saraswathi Nilaya. The address is 77/S, covering 17th Cross and 4th Block, and we also do work near N S Palya and Bilekahalli. S A Engineers & Constructors is a small team. We spend more time at building sites than we do in the office. The office itself is just a place to keep the blueprints and some tools. There are always rolls of paper lying around and some cement dust on the chairs. We deal with masonry, plumbing, and basic structure work. It is not like the big firms you see on TV. We wear boots and dusty shirts most of the time. Sometimes we are at the 6th Cross site early in the morning before the neighbors are even awake. We talk to the laborers and make sure the bricks are being laid straight. It is a lot of coordinating between different people. Some days the weather is too bad to pour concrete, so we just sit under a plastic sheet and wait. We’ve been doing this for several years now around this part of town. People know us for being around the sites ourselves rather than sitting behind a desk. It is a practical job that requires a lot of patience and some heavy lifting now and then. We take the work as it comes and try to stay busy throughout the year, even when the economy slows down.
