R.Shankar

R.Shankar is the name on the door here at 44 2nd Cross in Srirampuram. We have been in this part of Bangalore for a good while now, just doing our daily thing. The neighborhood around Bhashayamnagar is pretty lively, though the streets can get quite narrow when the delivery trucks come through. I spend most of my time at the desk near the front window. It’s not a huge place, just enough space for us to handle the work that comes in. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they've looked this way for years and nobody seems to mind much. We get a fair amount of people walking by since there are other shops on the street. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just wait it out with a cup of tea from the place next door. Bangalore weather is mostly nice, except when the monsoon hits and the road outside gets all muddy. We don’t really do any fancy advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here if they need something. It’s a simple setup, really. Just a few chairs, some old filing cabinets, and the equipment we use every day. We aren't trying to be the biggest or anything, just keeping the lights on and doing the work as it comes. Most days are pretty much the same.
