Royal Orchid Hotels

Our office is over at Flat No. 274 in the 407 SFS area of Yelahanka. It’s not your typical hotel building, it’s more of a flat where we handle the administrative side of things for Royal Orchid Hotels. Yelahanka is a bit quieter than the rest of Bangalore, which is nice most of the time. We spend our mornings going through emails and checking on the status of the rooms and guests at the different locations. It’s a lot of data entry and making sure the schedules are right. The flat is basically filled with desks and a couple of printers that sometimes act up. We don't have a lot of walk-in people because of where we are located, so it stays pretty focused on the work. I usually bring my own lunch and sit near the window where there’s a bit of a breeze. The air is a little cleaner out here than in the city center. We’ve got heaps of papers and ledgers from years ago that we keep for the records. It’s a steady kind of job, nothing too crazy happens day to day. We just make sure the back-end stuff for the hotels is running like it should. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish the monthly reports, but usually, we head out once the sun goes down. It’s just how things work in this little corner of Karnataka.
