Royal Novelty Store

Our store is at 17/2 Cambridge Road in Ulsoor. It’s a nice old area of Bangalore with a lot of history. The shop itself is what you’d call a novelty store. We have a bit of everything. There are toys for children, some kitchen gadgets, gift items, and those random things you find useful around the house. I’ve been running this place for a good number of years. It’s a small shop, so I have to be careful about how I stack things on the shelves so they don’t fall over. Cambridge Road has a lot of charm, and we get a lot of regular customers who live in the lanes nearby. They might stop in for a birthday card or just to see if we have anything new. I don’t use any fancy systems for the shop. I just keep track of things in a notebook. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for me. The shop can be a bit dark in the corners, but I’ve added a few more lights recently. People seem to like coming here because it’s quiet and they can take their time looking at things. We aren't part of some big chain. It’s just a local shop where I know most of the people who walk through the door. I usually sit on a stool near the entrance and listen to the radio while I wait for customers. It’s a peaceful way to spend the day. I hope people keep visiting us.
