Royal Hardware & Tools

Royal Hardware & Tools is one of those shops you really have to look for to find. We are at 41335 Sadar Patrappa Road, tucked away in Venkataraman Naik Lane. If you have ever been to SP Road, you know exactly how it is. It is a maze of small lanes and hundreds of shops selling every tool you can think of. We mostly focus on the hardware side of things. We have got shelves full of wrenches, hammers, and boxes of screws that seem to go on forever. It is a bit dark inside the shop because the lane is so narrow that the sun rarely hits the ground, but we have enough lights to see what we are doing. People come to us when they cannot find a specific size or type of tool anywhere else. We do our best to find it in the piles of stock. It is a lot of manual work, climbing up the old ladders and digging through the metal bins. The floor is usually a bit dusty and there is that specific smell of oil and iron that you only get in hardware stores. We have been here a long time, so we know most of the other shop owners on the street. It is a tight community even if it is very loud and busy. We just open the doors and help whoever walks in. It is honest work and it keeps us busy.
