Royal Goan Beach Club

Even though our name makes you think of the ocean, we are actually tucked away in Basavanagudi at the Mandara Apartment. We are in room 301 of the Shubhank building on Karnik Road. It is a bit of a funny setup, being an office for a beach club right in the middle of a traditional Bangalore neighborhood like this. Most of our work involves talking to people who want to get away for a holiday. We spend our days on the phone or sitting across from families explaining how the memberships work and what they can expect when they head out to the coast. It is a quiet office for the most part, except for when we are having a very busy season. We do not have sand or palm trees here, just a lot of brochures and some old desks. Basavanagudi is a great area to work in because of all the good food nearby, so we usually head out for a quick bite at lunch. People sometimes find it hard to locate us since we are in an apartment building, but once they are inside, it is pretty straightforward. We are not a high-pressure sales floor or anything like that. We just enjoy chatting with folks about their travel plans. It is nice to hear people getting excited about their vacations while we are stuck here in the city. We have been at this Karnik Road spot for a bit now and it suits us just fine.
