Roshan Overseas

Roshan Overseas is based in Yeshwantpur at Tingare Nagar, on Nagar Road 85/1. Our place is not very big, just a few rooms where we handle our export business. We deal with different kinds of stuff that go overseas, which means a lot of our time is spent on documentation and customs forms. The office is usually cluttered with folders and sample boxes. We don't have a fancy meeting room, so if someone comes to visit, we just pull up a spare chair and sit around the main desk. It’s a very informal atmosphere. We have a couple of people who help with the packing and labeling in the back room. It’s a lot of detail-oriented work because one mistake on a label can cause big problems at the border. We don't have a big team or a human resources department. If there’s a problem, we just talk it out and fix it. Nagar Road is always busy, and sometimes the dust from the street gets into the office, so we’re always cleaning the desks. We’ve been at this location for several years. Most of our business comes from long-term contacts we’ve made over the years. We don’t really do any promotion. We just focus on getting the shipments out on time. It’s a small, honest business and we like the independence it gives us. We usually finish up late in the evening and head home through the Yeshwantpur traffic.
